Île-de-France
From Charles V to the present day, including Henry II and Louis XIV, the Château de Vincennes has been at the center of political and military life in France for several centuries. The dungeon is today considered the highest in Europe. It is a wonderful example of military architecture from the Hundred Years' War. The Sainte Chapelle, recently restored, remains nowadays a monument too little known despite the beauty of its lines. Its stained glass windows of the 16th century are recognized as major works of the Renaissance for their artistic and technical quality.

Access
The entrance to the castle and the exit are only through the Village Tower, on the avenue de Paris. Note: important works are currently taking place at the entrance of the monument and make access uncomfortable for people with reduced mobility (irregular ground, presence of trucks...). The doors located near the Floral Park are closed.
