One morning, as Plume is about to go back to school, she announces to her parents that she has chosen theater as her extracurricular activity. They offer no support and don't understand her stubbornness. Feeling misunderstood, she locks herself in her room and watches a titmouse through her window, then falls asleep. She dreams that she has become a bird, that she speaks their language and understands them. Through a series of adventures and encounters, she will have to discover her true identity and her strength in order to become Plume again, the little girl, and find her place within her family and on Earth.

Un matin où Plume s’apprête à faire sa rentrée, elle annonce à ses parents qu’elle a choisi comme activité le théâtre. Ces derniers ne sont d’aucun soutien et ne comprennent pas cet entêtement.
Incomprise, elle s’enferme dans sa chambre et observe une mésange à travers sa fenêtre, puis s'assoupit. Elle rêve qu’elle est devenue un oiseau, qu’elle parle leur langage et les comprend. A travers un tas d’aventures où elle fait différentes rencontres, elle va devoir découvrir sa véritable identité et sa force pour redevenir Plume, la petite fille, et trouver sa place au sein de sa famille comme sur terre.
