A participatory solo performance, Anitya – Impermanence places a body in dialogue with a tangled web of stretched threads. A talented aerial rope artist, Inbal Ben Haim creates a work of striking visual beauty and scale, where everything seems capable of transformation.
In Sanskrit, anitya means “non-eternity”. A founding principle of Buddhist philosophy, it invites both acceptance of change and the art of letting go. Having experienced exile, family separation and the instability of war, the artist draws on her own history to make tangible the turbulence of a world in constant flux. Yet she does not face the wreckage alone. The audience accompanies her, helping to untangle the knots that hold her back and, through the combined force of many hands, lift her into the air. Once confronted with the void, another question emerges: how — and what — do we rebuild together?

Construire et déconstruire, traverser le monde et son chaos, s’en sortir ensemble. Solo participatif, Anitya - L’impermanence met en scène un corps aux prises avec un réseau de fils tendus et entremêlés. Artiste circassienne virtuose de la corde lisse, Inbal Ben Haim compose une performance d’une beauté visuelle et d’une ampleur saisissantes, où tout semble pouvoir se transformer.
En sanskrit, « anitya » signifie « non-éternité ». Principe fondateur de la philosophie bouddhiste, l’impermanence invite au lâcher-prise autant qu’à l’acceptation du changement. Ayant vécu le déchirement de l’exil, de la séparation familiale et l’instabilité de la guerre, l’artiste puise dans son expérience pour rendre tangible le tumulte d’un monde en perpétuelle recomposition. Face aux débris, elle n’est pas seule : le public l’accompagne, l’aide à défaire les nœuds qui l’entravent et à l’élever dans les airs grâce à l’addition des forces individuelles. Une fois face au vide, une autre question se pose : comment – et quoi – reconstruire collectivement ?
