Dope D.O.D is an internationally renowned Dutch hip hop group, with roots in Africa and England. Well known for putting strong vocal lines on aggressive rhythms, their style mixes classic hip hop with elements of electronic genres.
Hard to put them in a box, their fans often describe their sound as «theirs»: a mixture of boom bap percussions and wobble bass lines distorted while moving towards witty punchlines and macabre subjects.
After the world stopped in early 2020 and the entire music industry had to take a break from touring due to health restrictions, Dope D.O.D. took a step back from the spotlight to focus on creating their latest album.
Sticking to what they know best and not conforming to anything, it is clear that Dope D.O.D. has no intention of slowing down as they continue to leave their mark in the ever-expanding landscape of the rap world.
