40th anniversary of the Géocontact association
Field trip to the Sainte-Victoire Nature Reserve, located near Aix-en-Provence

To mark the 40th anniversary of the Géocontact association, we are organising a field trip this year to the Sainte-Victoire Nature Reserve, located near Aix-en-Provence.
This field trip will take place during the last week of May and will feature a talk by Thierry TORTOSA, a palaeontologist and curator of the national nature reserve, who will introduce us to this site, internationally renowned for its dinosaur eggs and other Cretaceous vertebrate fossils.
The programme will include:
- Guided tour of the national park
- Day of palaeontological excavations
- General lecture on the environmental context (geology, hydrology, biodiversity)
- Visit to the collections of the Natural History Museum of Aix-en-Provence
- Exploration of the Calanques of Cassis and Marseille

Sortie de terrain à la réserve naturelle de la Sainte-Victoire, située à proximité d'Aix-En-Provence
Géocontact
A l'occasion des 40 ans de l'association Géocontact, nous organisons cette année une sortie de terrain à la réserve naturelle de la Sainte-Victoire, située à proximité d'Aix-En-Provence.
Ce terrain se déroulera lors de la dernière semaine de mai avec l'intervention de Thierry TORTOSA, paléontologue et conservateur de la réserve naturelle nationale, qui nous présentera ce site reconnu internationalement pour ses œufs de dinosaures et autres fossiles de vertébrés du Crétacé.
Au programme, il sera prévu :
- Visite guidée du parc national
- Journée de fouilles paléontologiques
- Conférence généraliste sur le contexte environnemental (géologie, hydrologie, biodiversité)
- Visite des collections du Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle d'Aix-en-Provence
- Exploration des Calanques de Cassis et Marseille
