Located in the heart of Old Lyon, the Saint-Jean Cathedral, also called Primatiale Saint-Jean (seat of the Primate of the Gauls), is a building mixing Gothic and Romanesque styles. Its construction spans three centuries, from 1175 to 1481\. One of the peculiarities of the building is to possess an astronomical clock. Created at the end of the 14th century, it indicates the date, the positions of the moon, the sun and the stars above Lyon.
