Wenn Kunst und Kino mit einem Gebiet in Dialog treten, das tief an die Erinnerung, an die täglichen Gesten und an die Lebensgeschichten gebunden ist.
Die Fotografin, Filmemacherin und Künstlerin Agnès Varda (1928-2019) nimmt einen einzigartigen Platz im kollektiven Imaginationsgeschehen ein. Durch ihr multimorphes Werk erforscht sie die Welt mit Neugier und Sensibilität, indem sie einen freien, menschlichen, engagierten und poetischen Blick auf die Gesellschaften wirft, die sie durchquert.
Mit dieser Ausstellung beleuchtet das Musée de la Chalosse Themen, die Agnès Varda sehr am Herzen liegen: die Geste des Erntens, die Beobachtung des Alltags, die Aufwertung der Territorien und ihrer Bewohner, die oft als bescheiden oder unsichtbar betrachtet werden.
Die Welt des Künstlers kommt so in Einklang mit der Aussage des Museums, das lokale Geschichten, Know-how und menschliche Landschaften aufwertet.

When art and cinema dialogue with a territory deeply attached to memory, to the gestures of everyday life and to the stories of life.
Photographer, filmmaker and visual artist, Agnès Varda (1928-2019) occupies a singular place in the collective imagination. Through her polymorphic work, she explores the world with curiosity and sensitivity, taking a free, human, committed and poetic look at the societies she crosses.
With this exhibition, the Musée de la Chalosse sheds light on themes dear to Agnès Varda: the gesture of gleaning, the observation of daily life, the enhancement of territories and their inhabitants often considered as modest or invisible.
The artist’s universe thus resonates with the museum’s aim of highlighting local histories, know-how and human landscapes.

Fotografa, cineasta e artista visiva, Agnès Varda (1928-2019) occupa un posto singolare nell'immaginario collettivo. Attraverso la sua opera polimorfa, esplora il mondo con curiosità e sensibilità, portando uno sguardo libero, umano, impegnato e poetico sulle società che attraversa.
Con questa esposizione, il Museo della Chalosse offre un'illuminazione su tematiche care ad Agnès Varda: il gesto del colaggio, l'osservazione del quotidiano, la valorizzazione dei territori e dei loro abitanti spesso considerati modesti o invisibili.
