Located in the village of Usson, classified among "Les Plus Beaux Village de France", the garden of the "Porte de France", open to the public, offers a relaxation area between pleasure garden and vegetable garden, enclosed within walls made of basaltic organs, backed by the old ramparts of the fortress razed in 1634 under the injunction of Richelieu. Below the Romanesque church, it offers visitors a panoramic view from the historic heart of the village of Usson, former forced residence of the Queen "Margot" for 19 years (1585-1605). This garden also offers on its upper part, a belvedere where the characteristic silhouette of the Puy-de-Dôme is cut in the horizon, which is at the center of the tectonic High place Chaîne des Puys – faille de Limagne, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2018\. This belvedere inaugurates the network of belvedère desired by the departmental council of Puy-de-Dôme in order to discover from the outside the whole site classified by UNESCO.
