Die Unterkunft Sainte Catherine de Sienne befindet sich in den Gebäuden eines im 17. Jahrhundert gegründeten Klosters, dem Kloster der Visitandinen. Der Ort hatte eine reiche und bewegte Geschichte, bevor er 1943 die Dominikanerinnen des Heiligen Namens Jesu beherbergte, die die heutige Schule gegründet haben. Trotz zahlreicher Umbauten bewahrt das Schulgebäude (die Mauern beherbergen eine Schule, ein Kolleg und ein Gymnasium) noch heute die Spuren der Vergangenheit. Der Besuch ermöglicht es, das Innere eines der wenigen Klöster der Visitandinen zu entdecken, die ihre ursprünglichen Strukturen bewahrt haben, und die bemerkenswert erhaltenen Fresken zu bewundern. Es wird auch möglich sein, die angrenzende Kirche der Visitation, ein Werk des Bildhauers und Architekten Pierre Pavillon, sowie den "hohen Saal" zu erreichen, der einen atemberaubenden Blick auf Aix-en-Provence bietet.
Die Besichtigung erfolgt in kleinen Gruppen unter der Leitung von Schülern und Lehrern.

The hotel Sainte Catherine de Sienne is located in the buildings of a convent founded in the seventeenth century, the convent of the Visitandines. The place had a rich and eventful history before welcoming in 1943 the Dominican Sisters of the Holy Name of Jesus who founded the current school. Despite many improvements, the school complex (the walls house a school, a college and a high school) still retains traces of the past. The visit allows you to discover the interior of one of the few convents of the Visitandines that has preserved its original structures and admire the remarkably well-preserved frescoes. It will also be possible to access the church of the adjoining Visitation, work of the sculptor and architect Pierre Pavillon, as well as the "high room" which offers a breathtaking view of Aix-en-Provence.
The discovery of the places is done by small group visits, guided by students and teachers of the institution.

La struttura Santa Caterina di Siena è ospitata negli edifici di un convento fondato nel XVII secolo, il convento delle Visitandine. I luoghi hanno conosciuto una storia ricca e movimentata prima di accogliere nel 1943 le Suore Domenicane del Santo Nome di Gesù che fondarono l'attuale scuola. Nonostante i numerosi lavori di ristrutturazione, il complesso scolastico (le mura ospitano una scuola, un collegio e un liceo) conserva ancora oggi le tracce del passato. La visita permette di scoprire l'interno di uno dei rari conventi delle Visitandine che hanno conservato le sue strutture originali e ammirare gli affreschi straordinariamente conservati. Sarà anche possibile accedere alla chiesa della Visitazione adiacente, opera dello scultore e architetto Pierre Pavillon, nonché alla "sala alta" che offre una vista mozzafiato su Aix-en-Provence.
La scoperta dei luoghi avviene attraverso visite in piccoli gruppi, guidate da studenti e insegnanti dell'istituto.

L'établissement Sainte Catherine de Sienne est installé dans les bâtiments d'un couvent fondé au XVIIe siècle, le couvent des Visitandines. Les lieux ont connu une histoire riche et mouvementée avant d'accueillir en 1943 les Soeurs Dominicaines du Saint Nom de Jésus qui ont fondé l'école actuelle. Malgré de nombreux aménagements, l'ensemble scolaire (les murs abritent une école, un collège et un lycée) garde encore aujourd'hui les traces du passé. La visite permet de découvrir l'intérieur d'un des rares couvents des Visitandines ayant conservé ses structures d'origine et d'admirer les fresques remarquablement conservées. Il sera également possible d'accéder à l'église de la Visitation attenante, oeuvre du sculpteur et architecte Pierre Pavillon, ainsi qu'à la "salle haute" qui offre une vue imprenable sur Aix-en-Provence.
La découverte des lieux se fait par des visites en petit groupe, guidées par les élèves et enseignants de l'établissement.

El establecimiento Santa Caterina de Siena está instalado en los edificios de un convento fundado en el siglo XVII, el convento de las Visitandines. Los lugares han conocido una historia rica y agitada antes de acoger en 1943 a las Hermanas Dominicanas del Santo Nombre de Jesús que fundaron la escuela actual. A pesar de numerosas reformas, el conjunto escolar (las paredes albergan una escuela, un colegio y un liceo) conserva aún hoy las huellas del pasado. La visita permite descubrir el interior de uno de los pocos conventos de las Visitandinas que han conservado sus estructuras originales y admirar los frescos notablemente conservados. También será posible acceder a la iglesia de la Visitación adyacente, obra del escultor y arquitecto Pierre Pavillon, así como a la "sala alta" que ofrece una vista impresionante sobre Aix-en-Provence.
El descubrimiento de los lugares se hace a través de visitas en grupos pequeños, guiadas por los alumnos y profesores del establecimiento.
