As part of the Rendez-vous aux jardins, on 6 and 7 June, dedicated this year to the meaning of sight, the Musée Bourdelle invites the public to take a renewed look at its gardens.
By inviting the choreographer Eva Klimackova and the dancer Leandro Villavicencio to dance in the gardens, the piece "PURE" highlights the living dialogue between the moving bodies and the surrounding vegetation.
Visits to inclusive sensory gardens, accessible to both sighted and blind audiences, offer an experience of the garden beyond just looking. These visits echo the exceptional collaboration of the association Valentin Haüy, partner of this edition.
Finally, charcoal drawing workshops invite families to capture unexpected points of view on plant species while initiations to cyanotype, an old photographic process, reveal the poetry and beauty of gardens in a different way.
"PURE" dance performance in the gardens
By choreographer and dancer Eva Klimackova and dancer Leandro Villavicencio
Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Duration of each performance: 25 minutes
Free admission, subject to availability
Through the structure of the dance duo, "PURE" explores the plasticity of two bodies who carry in each of their gestures the singularity of a journey from another culture - or several cultures - and who invent spaces to connect; an organic and fluid relationship of bodies and materials. 'PURE' unfolds time in a sensory and tactile search where bodies take turns, unfold, intertwine, overlap, balance themselves ad infinitum with a very singular musicality of gesture. By letting appear a plasticity of forms, lines, curves, folds and materials without hierarchy "PURE" is loaded with memory and dotted with imprints.
