Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes lädt die Sunniten-Vereinigung von Saint-Pierre dazu ein, die Atyaboul-Massadjid-Moschee, die «schönste aller Moscheen», im Herzen der Stadt zu entdecken. Sie wurde zwischen 1972 und 1975 vom Architekten Wladimir Fritzel auf dem Gelände der 1913 eingeweihten ehemaligen Moschee entworfen. Sie steht stolz mit ihrem 42 Meter hohen Minarett, einem 625 m2 großen Gebetsraum und prächtigen Ornamenten aus edlem Holz und Kalligraphien.
Entdecken Sie durch die Erklärungen der Freiwilligen des Vereins der sunnitischen Muslime von Saint-Pierre und der Imame, die Moschee St. Peter, genannt Atyaboul Massadjid. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Sunni Association of Saint Peter invites you to discover exceptionally the mosque Atyaboul-Massadjid, the "most beautiful of mosques", in the heart of the city. Designed between 1972 and 1975 by the architect Wladimir Fritzel on the site of the old mosque inaugurated in 1913, it stands proudly with its 42-meter minaret, its vast 625 m2 prayer room and its magnificent ornaments in precious wood and calligraphy.
Come discover through explanations of the volunteers from the Association of Sunni Muslims of Saint-Pierre and Imams, the Mosque of Saint Peter, named Atyaboul Massadjid. The visit will allow you to discover verses of the Koran carved from precious woods of Reunion, such as the natte or the tamarin and have information on this center of community life.
This opening is a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the local history, the inter-cultural sharing and the neat architecture of this emblematic place of the Reunionnese living together.
