The live collections bring together 500 marine species (fish, echinoderms, crustaceans, molluscs, corals, sponges...) and freshwater in 80 tanks of 200 to 15,000 litres. The establishment is pleased to have a number of reef fish that it acquired as juveniles between 1978 and 1985\. These representatives, in perfect condition, break longevity records, little known in aquariums. The naturalised and fossil collections include more than 15,000 animals (mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, molluscs...) among which representatives of recently extinct or very rare fauna. It has been hosting the collection of the National School of Geology (minerals and fossils) since 1993\. Zoological collections: vertebrates are the most represented. We count thus mammals and birds from all continents: the red-headed cockatoo (Callocephalon fimbriatum) from Australia, the Saharan whip-tail (Uromastix acanthinurus) from Africa, the sparrow (Microhierax fringillarius) from Asia, the giant tattoo (Priodontes gigante

Access
Access PMR An entrance without stairs is at your disposal by the Jardin Godron. Inside, an elevator allows you to access the ground floor and the 1st floor. Note that all toilets are accessible.
PMR equipment For your visit, three wheelchairs are available on request at the reception. Strollers, versatile seats to sit, lean and carry your belongings, as well as folding seats are in free access to the ground floor and 1st floor.
Other adapted equipment Rough strips are installed on the ground, at the entrance of the establishment, to guide visitors to the reception. A magnetic loop at the reception desk facilitates communication with people with hearing impairment. 3 noise headsets are available, on request, to people who wish to make a visit in peace.
