At your own pace and independently, take a 1.5 km trail, punctuated by information panels to discover the local fauna and flora.

📸 On the way, a 9-meter high observatory will offer you a panoramic view of the surrounding marshes: a privileged moment to observe birds, contemplate landscapes and capture beautiful images.

Le Marais aux Oiseaux is a property of the department of Charente-Maritime located in the heart of the island of Oléron in the communes of Dolus-d'Oléron and Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, within some 130 hectares of deciduous wood and old salt marshes preempted as sensitive natural areas. Covering an area of nearly 10 hectares, this property houses two distinct structures: an educational discovery park and a wildlife conservation centre.
The Marais aux Oiseaux actively participates in the protection and knowledge of nature in various forms: awareness of the general public, environmental education with schools, inventories...
Le Marais aux Oiseaux is one of the 14 sites of the Échappées Nature network of the department of Charente-Maritime and is also a member of the Explore Oléron network created by the community of communes of the island of Oléron.
