- Zwischen dem 15. und 17. Jahrhundert war die Stadt Schauplatz eines heftigen Kampfes zwischen Frankreich und Spanien.
Unter der Führung von Vauban, dem Meister der Befestigungsanlagen, wurde die Pulverkammer errichtet.
Sie ist dazu bestimmt, die Artillerie der Festung zu versorgen und ist heute die einzige Überlebende dieser Epoche... explosiv! Ein kurzer, aber intensiver Besuch, den man nicht verpassen sollte.

- Between the 15th and 17th centuries, the city was the scene of a heated standoff between France and Spain.
It was under the impetus of Vauban, the master of fortifications, that the Poudrière was built.
Intended to supply the artillery of the stronghold, it is today the only survivor of this... explosive era! A short but intense visit not to be missed.
