Anlässlich der Tage des Kulturerbes bietet das Zentrum von Châtellerault des historischen Dienstes der Verteidigung im Centre des archives de l'armement et du personnel civil einen Einblick in die Geschichte der französischen U-Boote an in der ehemaligen Waffenmanufaktur von Châtellerault.
Heute sind diese Meeresriesen, die zur Verteidigung unserer Souveränität maßgeblich beitragen, in der Lage, überall auf der Welt heimlich und faszinierend zu operieren. Sie waren immer an der Spitze der technischen und technologischen Innovation. Die Ausstellung, in der über hundert Originaldokumente zusammengetragen sind, von denen die meisten unveröffentlicht sind und die durch zahlreiche Leihgaben bereichert wird, erzählt von mehr als hundert Jahren Unterwassergeschichte mit ihren Erfolgen und Dramen, von den ersten Tauchbooten des späten 19. Jahrhunderts bis zur Atomzeit.
Sie wurde aus den Archiven des Historischen Verteidigungsdienstes erstellt und erläutert die technischen Aspekte des U-Boot-Betriebs sowie die großen Meilensteine und Epochen der langen und reichen Geschichte der französischen U-Boot-Flotte: ihre Entstehung im 19. Jahrhundert, ihre Entwicklung im Laufe des 20. Jahrhunderts, das Epos der französischen U-Boote während des Zweiten Weltkriegs, die mit Atomantrieb betriebenen U-Boote oder auch die bemerkenswertesten Schiffswracks.

On the occasion of the Heritage Days, the center of Châtellerault of the Historical Service of Defense offers you to dive into the history of French submarines at the Center of the archives of armament and civil personnel, located in the former weapons factory of Châtellerault.
Today able to operate stealthily all over the world, a source of fascination, these giants of the seas, major players in the defense of our sovereignty, have always been at the forefront of technical and technological innovation. Bringing together more than a hundred original documents, most of them unpublished, and enriched by numerous loans of objects, this exhibition tells more than one hundred years of underwater history, with its successes and dramas, from the first submersibles of the late nineteenth century to the atomic era.
Built from the archives of the Defense Historical Service, it explains the technical aspects of submarine operations and presents the major milestones and significant episodes in the long and rich history of the French submarine fleet: its birth in the 19th century, its evolution during the 20th century, the epic of French submarines during the Second World War, nuclear-powered submarines, or even the most notable shipwrecks.

In occasione delle Giornate del Patrimonio, il centro di Châtellerault del Servizio storico della Difesa vi propone di immergervi nella storia dei sottomarini francesi presso il Centre des archives de l'armement et du personnel civil, situato nell'ex manifattura d'armi di Châtellerault.
Capaci oggi di operare furtivamente ovunque nel mondo, fonte di fascino, questi giganti dei mari, attori principali della difesa della nostra sovranità, sono sempre stati all'avanguardia dell'innovazione tecnica e tecnologica. Riunendo più di un centinaio di documenti originali, la maggior parte inediti, e arricchito da numerosi prestiti di oggetti, questa esposizione racconta più di cento anni di storia subacquea, con i suoi successi e drammi, dai primi sommergibili della fine del XIX secolo fino all'era atomica.
Costruita a partire dagli archivi del Servizio storico della Difesa, spiega gli aspetti tecnici del funzionamento dei sottomarini e presenta le grandi tappe e gli episodi significativi della lunga e ricca storia della flotta sottomarina francese: la sua nascita nel XIX secolo, la sua evoluzione nel corso del XX secolo, l'epopea dei sottomarini francesi durante la seconda guerra mondiale, i sottomarini a propulsione nucleare, o ancora i naufragi più notevoli.

Capables aujourd’hui d’opérer furtivement partout dans le monde, source de fascination, ces géants des mers, acteurs majeurs de la défense de notre souveraineté, ont toujours été à la pointe de l’innovation technique et technologique. Rassemblant plus d’une centaine de documents originaux, la plupart inédits, et enrichie par de nombreux prêts d’objets, cette exposition raconte plus de cent ans d’histoire sous-marine, avec ses succès et ses drames, depuis les premiers submersibles de la fin du XIXe siècle jusqu’à l’ère atomique.
Construite à partir des archives du Service historique de la Défense, elle explique les aspects techniques du fonctionnement des sous-marins et présente les grandes étapes et les épisodes marquants de la longue et riche histoire de la flotte sous-marine française : sa naissance au XIXe siècle, son évolution au cours du XXe siècle, l’épopée des sous-marins français durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, les sous-marins à propulsion nucléaire, ou encore les naufrages les plus notables.

Con motivo de las Jornadas del Patrimonio, el centro de Châtellerault del Servicio Histórico de la Defensa le propone sumergirse en inmersión en la historia de los submarinos franceses en el Centre des archives de l'armement et du personnel civil, situado en la antigua fábrica de armas de Châtellerault.
Capaces hoy de operar furtivamente en todo el mundo, fuente de fascinación, estos gigantes de los mares, actores principales de la defensa de nuestra soberanía, han estado siempre a la vanguardia de la innovación técnica y tecnológica. Reuniendo más de un centenar de documentos originales, la mayoría inéditos, y enriquecida por numerosos préstamos de objetos, esta exposición cuenta más de cien años de historia submarina, con sus éxitos y dramas, desde los primeros sumergibles de finales del siglo XIX hasta la era atómica.
Construida a partir de los archivos del Servicio Histórico de la Defensa, explica los aspectos técnicos del funcionamiento de los submarinos y presenta las grandes etapas y los episodios marcantes de la larga y rica historia de la flota submarina francesa: su nacimiento en el siglo XIX, su evolución durante el siglo XX, la epopeya de los submarinos franceses durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, los submarinos con propulsión nuclear, o incluso los naufragios más notables.
