Was ist ein antikes Mosaik und was war seine Funktion? Der Workshop zeichnet die Geschichte der Mosaiktechniken nach, von der Verwendung des Steins durch die Griechen bis zur Verwendung des Steins durch die Römer, die diese Kunst auf ihre Spitze gebracht haben. Jedes Kind lernt diese Technik, indem es ein gallo-römisches Mosaikdetail nachbildet oder sich sein eigenes dekoratives Motiv ausdenkt.

What is an ancient mosaic and what was its function? The workshop traces the history of mosaic techniques, from the use of pebbles by the Greeks to that of tesserae by the Romans, which brought this art to its peak. Each child is introduced to this technique by making a copy of a detail of Gallo-Roman mosaic or by inventing their own decorative pattern.

Il laboratorio ripercorre la storia delle tecniche del mosaico, dall'uso dei ciottoli da parte dei greci a quello dei tesserli da parte dei romani, che portarono quest'arte al suo apice. Ogni bambino impara questa tecnica copiando un dettaglio di mosaico gallo-romano o inventando il proprio motivo decorativo.

El taller repasa la historia de las técnicas del mosaico, desde el uso de los guijarros por los griegos hasta el uso de teselas por los romanos, que llevaron este arte a su apogeo. Cada niño aprende esta técnica copiando un detalle de mosaico galo-romano o inventando su propio motivo decorativo.
