Mickaël Amant, der in großen Werkstätten im Süden Frankreichs ausgebildet wurde und einen Master in Schreinerei besitzt, gründete 2002 sein eigenes Atelier. Er ist insbesondere auf die Restaurierung von Boulle-Marqueterie aus dem 17. Jahrhundert spezialisiert, die Schildkrötenschuppen, Messing, Elfenbein und Perlmutt kombiniert, sowie auf das Marmorieren aus wertvollem Holz.
Sein Know-how erstreckt sich auch auf die Restaurierung von Statuen und liturgischen Möbeln aus dem 13. bis 19. Jahrhundert.

Meet Mickaël Amant and discover the demanding techniques of furniture and art object restoration.
Trained in large workshops in the south of France and holding a master’s degree in cabinetmaking, Mickaël Amant created his own workshop in 2002. He is particularly specialized in the restoration of 17th century Boulle marquetry, combining tortoise shell, brass, ivory and mother-of-pearl, as well as in precious wood marquetry.
His expertise also extends to the restoration of statuary and liturgical furniture dating from the 13th to the 19th century.

Incontra Mickaël Amant e scopri le tecniche impegnative del restauro di mobili e oggetti d'arte.
Formatosi in grandi laboratori del sud della Francia e titolare di un master in ebanisteria, Mickaël Amant ha creato il proprio laboratorio nel 2002. Si è specializzato in particolare nel restauro di intarsi Boulle del XVII secolo, combinando scaglie di tartaruga, ottone, avorio e madreperla, così come nell'intaglio di legni preziosi.
Il suo savoir-faire si estende anche al restauro della statuaria e dell'arredamento liturgico datati dal XIII al XIX secolo.

Formé dans de grands ateliers du sud de la France et titulaire d’une maîtrise en ébénisterie, Mickaël Amant a créé son propre atelier en 2002. Il est notamment spécialisé dans la restauration de marqueterie Boulle du XVIIe siècle, associant écaille de tortue, laiton, ivoire et nacre, ainsi que dans la marqueterie de bois précieux.
Son savoir-faire s’étend également à la restauration de la statuaire et du mobilier liturgique datant du XIIIe au XIXe siècle.

Formado en grandes talleres del sur de Francia y titular de una maestría en ebanistería, Mickaël Amant creó su propio taller en 2002. Está especializado en la restauración de marquetería Boulle del siglo XVII, combinando escamas de tortuga, latón, marfil y nácar, así como en la marquetería de madera preciosa.
Su saber hacer se extiende también a la restauración de la estatuaria y del mobiliario litúrgico que datan de los siglos XIII al XIX.
