Das Viertel Confluence entwickelt sich auf dem Gelände ehemaliger Logistik- und Industriebetriebe. Die zeitgenössischen Projekte räumen diese Vergangenheit nicht ein, sondern werten alte Gebäude für neue Zwecke auf. Am Ufer der Saône wechselt der Hafen von Rambaud zwischen Lagerhäusern und Dienstleistungsgebäuden als architektonische "Verrücktheiten" und kulturelle Orte. The Confluence district is developing on the site of former logistical and industrial establishments. Far from making a clean sweep of this past, contemporary projects value the old buildings for new uses. On the banks of the Saône, the former port of Rambaud sees alternating storage buildings and tertiary buildings as so many architectural "follies" and cultural places.
