Außergewöhnliche Eröffnung des Rathauses, um das monumentale Gemälde von André Brouillet zu entdecken, geboren 1857 in Charroux und gestorben 1914 in Couhé, mit dem Titel Der Marsch der Frauen, um in Versailles nach Brot zu fragen.
Dieses Werk, das 1882 zur Dekoration des Rathauses von Poitiers geschaffen wurde, war seit über einem Jahrhundert verschwunden. Sie wurde 2025 in den USA wiedergefunden und kam 2026 zu Charroux, der Heimatstadt des Künstlers. Eine Geschichte, die ebenso verblüffend wie extravagant ist.
Parallel dazu werden in Charroux auch andere Orte, die normalerweise der Öffentlichkeit nicht zugänglich sind, ausnahmsweise ihre Türen öffnen, insbesondere ein Haus aus dem 15. und 16. Jahrhundert, gewölbte Keller und mehrere Ausstellungsräume.

Exceptional opening of the municipal council chamber to discover the monumental painting by André Brouillet, born in Charroux in 1857 and died in Couhé in 1914, entitled La Marche des femmes pour demander de pain à Versailles.
Created in 1882 to decorate the town hall of Poitiers, this work had disappeared for more than a century. Found in the United States in 2025, she joined Charroux in 2026, in the artist’s hometown. A story as astonishing as it is fantastic.
At the same time, other places usually closed to the public will exceptionally open their doors in Charroux, including a house of the 15th and 16th centuries, vaulted cellars and several exhibition spaces.

Créée en 1882 pour décorer l’hôtel de ville de Poitiers, cette œuvre avait disparu pendant plus d’un siècle. Retrouvée aux États-Unis en 2025, elle a rejoint Charroux en 2026, dans la ville natale de l’artiste. Une histoire aussi étonnante que rocambolesque.
En parallèle, d’autres lieux habituellement fermés au public ouvriront exceptionnellement leurs portes dans Charroux, notamment une maison des XVe et XVIe siècles, des caves voûtées et plusieurs espaces d’exposition.
