Rebuilt on medieval bases at the end of the XVIth century, the castle of Chambon was the seat(siege) of a powerful barony which passed(spent,crossed) big(great) families in the hands of several. The last Secretary of the navy of Louis XVI, the count of The Alfalfa, the owner of 1770 in Revolution was. Typical of the architecture of Androuet du Cerceau, the castle underwent only not enough modifications for the XVIth century, what gives it its character and its unity(unit). It is what also justified its registration(inscription) in conformance with(for) historic monuments.
