Die Abtei Guiche wurde 1273 von Jean de Châtillon gegründet. Die Grafen von Blois, die sie unter ihren Schutz gestellt hatten, machten daraus ihre Grabstätte. Eine Klostergalerie und ein Gebäude des ehemaligen Klosters aus dem späten 13. Jahrhundert sind in einem 4 Hektar großen Park erhalten geblieben. Es gibt noch zwei weitere Fundstellen, eine Kapelle und das Klosterlager. Der Besuch erzählt die Geschichte des Denkmals und beschreibt das Leben der Nonnen an diesem Ort über fünf Jahrhunderte. Privateigentum seit 1792.

The abbey of Guiche was founded in 1273 by Jean de Châtillon. The earls of Blois, who had placed it under their protection, made it their burial place. A gallery of the cloister and a building of the former monastery, dating from the late thirteenth century, have been preserved in the heart of a park of 4 hectares. There are also two recumbent effigies, a chapel and the monastery’s fishpond. The visit retraces the history of the monument and describes the life of the nuns in this place, during 5 centuries. Private property since 1792.
