Diese Ausstellung beleuchtet den universellen Wert des Canal du Midi und die engen Verbindungen, die er mit den von ihm durchquerten Gebieten unterhält. Durch einen thematischen Rundgang lädt sie dazu ein, die Gründe für seine Schaffung, die Auswirkungen seiner Baustelle auf Landschaften und Bevölkerungen, seine Rolle in der regionalen wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung sowie die Entwicklung der Wassernutzung im Laufe der Zeit zu verstehen.
Die Ausstellung behandelt auch die aktuellen Herausforderungen im Zusammenhang mit der Erhaltung dieses außergewöhnlichen Werks und der Weitergabe seines Erbes an zukünftige Generationen.
Geführte Besichtigungen auf Reservierung für die Hochschulen des Hérault. Diese Tätigkeit ist förderfähig.

This exhibition highlights the universal value of the Canal du Midi and the close links it maintains with the territories it crosses. Through a thematic course, it invites to understand the reasons of its creation, the impact of its site on landscapes and populations, its role in regional economic development as well as the evolution of water uses over time.
The exhibition also addresses contemporary issues related to the preservation of this exceptional work and the transmission of its legacy to future generations.
Guided tours by reservation to the colleges of the Hérault. This activity is eligible for transport aid.

L'esposizione affronta anche le sfide contemporanee legate alla conservazione di questa opera eccezionale e alla trasmissione della sua eredità alle generazioni future.

À travers un parcours thématique, elle invite à comprendre les raisons de sa création, l’impact de son chantier sur les paysages et les populations, son rôle dans le développement économique régional ainsi que l’évolution des usages de l’eau au fil du temps.
L’exposition aborde également les enjeux contemporains liés à la préservation de cet ouvrage exceptionnel et à la transmission de son héritage aux générations futures.
