Unsichtbar, schwer fassbar, manchmal geheimnisvoll... Elektrizität hat unsere Art, den menschlichen Körper zu verstehen und zu heilen, tiefgreifend verändert.
Lange vor seiner Beherrschung beobachteten, tasteten und erfanden die Ärzte mechanische Instrumente zur Erforschung des Lebens. Ab dem 18. Jahrhundert erweckten die ersten elektrostatischen Maschinen die Idee, dass diese Kraft mit dem Körper interagieren könnte. Funken, Entladungen, Experimente: Elektrizität fasziniert ebenso wie sie fragt.
Im Laufe der Zeit wird sie zu einem Mess- und Diagnoseinstrument mit einer nie dagewesenen Genauigkeit. Invisible, elusive, sometimes mysterious... electricity has profoundly transformed the way we understand and care for the human body.
Long before his mastery, doctors observed, groped, and invented mechanical instruments to explore the living. Then, from the 18th century, the first electrostatic machines gave rise to the idea that this force could interact with the body. Sparks, discharges, experiences: electricity fascinates as much as it questions.
Over time, it becomes a measurement and diagnostic tool of unprecedented precision. Thanks to it, the heartbeats are outlined on the first electrocardiographs, while the activity of the brain is revealed through the traces of the encephalograph. The invisible becomes visible.

Molto prima della sua padronanza, i medici osservavano, tastavano e inventavano strumenti meccanici per esplorare gli esseri viventi. Poi, a partire dal XVIII secolo, le prime macchine elettrostatiche fanno nascere l'idea che questa forza potrebbe interagire con il corpo.
