Built in 1610 this house is renovated, transformed, and modelled by his different owners, and cross times(periods) to become the hotel of command of the general officer of the defence zone and of West safety(security). In 1860, Napoléone Élisa Bacciochi, niece of Napoleon 1st, buys the hotel and restores him(her) her unity(unit) and her splendour by restoring it. It is in her that sumptuous inlaid floors, chandeliers(lusters), bannister and marchioness in front wall(pediment) of facade are owed. The department of the war of Napoleon III buys the hotel of Châteaugiron in 1869\. Since 1871, the hotel is the seat(siege) of the headquarters and the residence of the generals who follow one another there until our days.
