The lemongrass plantation of Mas Flofaro was born from the desire of the current owner to ensure the sustainability and enhancement of the variety "citron de Menton", emblematic of the city. Established in the 1950s on a former olive property of the sixteenth century, it has preserved its structure in terraces and the hydraulic system of the eighteenth century. Centennial olive trees bring to this set all the majesty that the pruning gives them. The exceptional climate and the exposure on the side of the Annonciade hill promoting the cultivation of citrus fruits, a rich collection has been able to develop alongside the lemon trees; one can thus discover there the citron tree "hand of Buddha", the kumquatiers, bitter orange trees, combavas... Taking advantage of these conditions, the property has gradually enriched with a pleasure garden where tropical and subtropical plants thrive.
