About the location

Château des Allymes

Brey-de-Vent 01500 Ambérieu-en-Bugey

Ain

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Château des Allymes is a military building built in the 14th century by the Dauphinois to face the one built by the Savoyards on Mont Luisandre. Witness of the Delphino-Savoyard wars, it is the only medieval castle of the Ain preserved in its entirety. Open to the public all year round, the castle hosts from 17 May to 26 June a temporary exhibition around the garden with an exhibition of paintings by Marie Morel and the realization of a medieval ephemeral garden by Sylvain Christophe.
