ARCHICITY visit with Guillaume Ballast, from the NAS Architecture agency, organized by the Maison de l'Architecture Occitanie Méditerranée in partnership with the CAUE du Gard.
The CAUE du Gard is partnering with the Maison de l'Architecture Occitanie Méditerranée to offer an architectural visit to discover the third-place library of Rochefort-du-Gard. The visit will be led by the NAS Architecture agency, designer of the project.
Located in the heart of the old center of Rochefort-du-Gard, the library brings together the former chapel of Saint-Joseph, rehabilitated, and a new construction. It thus constitutes a new pole of attractiveness for the village.
The development around the square extends this new dynamic by creating a space for gathering and sharing for the Rochefortais. The layout of the building and the high porosity of the ground floor establish a real link between public space and architecture, while affirming a new cultural identity.
