Die Kirche Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul, die seit 1976 und den Ereignissen der SOUFRIERE auch aus Sprachgewohnheit "Kathedrale von Pointe-à-Pitre" genannt wird, wäre dank ihrer metallischen Struktur, die vom Industrieunternehmen Joly hergestellt wurde, mit einem majestätischen Eisengefäß vergleichbar, Designer der Baltard-Halle.
Symbol der metallischen Architektur in Guadeloupe, wurde es am 5. April 2021 von der Mission Stéphane Bern - Loto du patrimoine als emblematisches Denkmal von Guadeloupe ausgewählt, das restauriert werden soll. Zu diesem Zweck wird eine Liste der Teilnehmer auf der Website www.stiftung-erbe.org/76099.
