On the occasion of the restoration of the lavoir de l'Ayrolle, classified as a historical monument, a guided tour with several voices is proposed in order to discover all the aspects of the monument: its history, its architecture, its materials.

The lavoir is located on the edge of Boulevard de l'Ayrolle, outside the old town bounded by fortifications whose boulevards that surround it are the remains. Of oblong shape, the lavoir, of classic order, is opened on the boulevard by three semicircular porticoes surmounted by balustrades and a pediment with the town coat of arms. The sides and the back, semicircular in shape, reproduce this same composition, without a pediment. Pilasters separate each of the arcades. On the boulevard, the three porticoes see these decorated arcades, with foliate garlands for the central ones, with hanging keys for the lateral ones; they land on Tuscan capitals. An entablement crowns the whole. An inscription to the glory of the king appeared until its destruction. Inside, the U-shaped basin is backed by the porticoes. The whole is built in ochre stone.
