The visits will take place in 2 stages:

Presentation of the Rochetaillée lock, with a visit to the lockmaster’s cabin to discuss water transport and tourism activities
Presentation of the Couzon dam and VNF’s role as a water stakeholder for the benefit of many uses.
Mandatory reservation via link below
Due to the VIGIPIRATE context, VNF staff will request the presentation of an identity document (ID card, passport, or any official document bearing a photograph). In case of refusal to present an ID, access will be denied. Bulky bags and luggage are prohibited.

The lock of Rochetaillée is one of five locks fitted out over the 220 km of the large gauge Saône, which extends to the north the river Rhône. On average, 2 million tonnes of goods are transported there each year. The structure also ensures the passage of river liners from Burgundy or Lyon and the Rhone Valley (26 river liners and 110,000 passengers at the basin scale), as well as many recreational boats.
