Zwei Myrmekologen, Spezialisten für Ameisen, treffen sich mit der Öffentlichkeit zu einer - ihrer Meinung nach - einfachen Zählung, um die dort vorkommenden Arten zu erfassen.
Dann beginnt ein kurioser wahr-falsch-Vortrag über die Ameisen, ihre Welt, ihre Gewohnheiten und ihre Symbole. Eine echte Arbeit der Ameise, kurz gesagt.
Insekten, obwohl sie weit von uns entfernt sind, umgeben uns und können uns viel beibringen. Das Schauspiel weckt diese kindliche Neugier, die uns dazu bringt, uns vorzustellen, was unter der Erde, in den Bäumen oder an den Wänden passiert, wenn der Rasen zum Wald wird und ein Erdhaufen sich in eine riesige Stadt verwandelt.
Ein Ameisenwerk ist eine dokumentierte und lehrreiche Show, die für alle spricht und schließlich für alle.

Two myrmecologists, ant specialists, meet the public for what they think is a simple counting operation, intended to list the species present.
Then begins a curious true-false conference on the ants, their world, their habits and their symbols. A real work of the ants, in short.
Insects, though distant from us, surround us and have much to teach us. The show awakens this childish curiosity that leads us to imagine what happens underground, in trees or walls, when the lawn becomes a forest and a pile of earth turns into a giant city.
Un travail de fourmi is a documented and instructive show, which speaks to everyone and, ultimately, to everyone.

Due myrmecologi, specialisti delle formiche, incontrano il pubblico per quello che pensano essere una semplice operazione di conteggio, destinata a catalogare le specie presenti.
Inizia allora una curiosa conferenza vero-falso sulle formiche, il loro mondo, le loro abitudini e i loro simboli. Un vero lavoro da formica, insomma.
Gli insetti, anche se lontani da noi, ci circondano e hanno molto da insegnarci. Lo spettacolo risveglia quella curiosità infantile che ci spinge a immaginare cosa succede sotto terra, negli alberi o nei muri, quando il prato diventa foresta e un cumulo di terra si trasforma in una città gigante.
Un lavoro da formica è uno spettacolo documentato e istruttivo, che parla a tutti e, infine, di tutti.

Deux myrmécologues, spécialistes des fourmis, rencontrent le public pour ce qu’ils pensent être une simple opération de comptage, destinée à répertorier les espèces présentes.
Commence alors une curieuse vraie-fausse conférence sur les fourmis, leur monde, leurs habitudes et leurs symboliques. Un véritable travail de fourmi, en somme.
Les insectes, bien qu’éloignés de nous, nous entourent et ont beaucoup à nous apprendre. Le spectacle réveille cette curiosité enfantine qui nous pousse à imaginer ce qui se passe sous terre, dans les arbres ou dans les murs, lorsque la pelouse devient forêt et qu’un tas de terre se transforme en ville géante.
Un travail de fourmi est un spectacle documenté et instructif, qui parle à tout le monde et, finalement, de tout le monde.

Dos mirmecólogos, especialistas en hormigas, se reúnen con el público para lo que creen ser una simple operación de recuento, destinada a catalogar las especies presentes.
Comienza entonces una curiosa conferencia verdadero-falso sobre las hormigas, su mundo, sus hábitos y sus símbolos. Un verdadero trabajo de hormiga, en resumen.
Los insectos, aunque lejos de nosotros, nos rodean y tienen mucho que enseñarnos. El espectáculo despierta esa curiosidad infantil que nos lleva a imaginar lo que sucede bajo tierra, en los árboles o en las paredes, cuando el césped se convierte en bosque y un montón de tierra se transforma en una ciudad gigante.
Un trabajo de hormiga es un espectáculo documentado e informativo, que habla a todo el mundo y, en definitiva, de todos.
