Das Larrousse-Gewebe wurde 1919 von Valérien Larrousse, einem ehemaligen Vorarbeiter in einer lokalen Weberei, gegründet. In diesem Familienunternehmen haben sich mehrere Generationen im Weberei ausgebildet. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg übernahm Joseph Larrousse die Leitung des Instituts.
Die Textilproduktionen waren für eine lokale Kundschaft bestimmt, hauptsächlich aus Béarn und Bigorre: Haushaltswäsche, Arbeitskleidung, Schulkittel usw.
Heute bewahrt der Ort eine reiche Sammlung von Stoffen, die in dieser Werkstatt hergestellt wurden, aber auch aus anderen Fabriken der Nayrebene stammen, die früher den Spitznamen "Little Manchester" trug.
Geführte Besichtigungen auf Französisch oder in Béarnais ermöglichen es, die Werkstatt und ihre Maschinen zu entdecken, die alle als historische Denkmäler ausgewiesen sind. Einige von ihnen werden für Demonstrationen in Betrieb genommen.
Eine Stoffausstellung sowie ein Verkauf von Vintage-Stoffen und -Artikeln werden den Besuch abrunden.

The Larrousse weaving was created in 1919 by Valérien Larrousse, former foreman in a local spinning mill. This family business has seen several generations learn the craft of weaving. After the Second World War, Joseph Larrousse took over the reins of the establishment.
The textile products were intended for a local clientele, mainly from Béarn and Bigorre: household linen, work clothes, school smocks...
Today, the place preserves a rich collection of fabrics made in this workshop, but also from other factories of the plain of Nay, formerly nicknamed "Little Manchester".
Guided tours, in French or Béarnais, will allow you to discover the workshop and its machines, all listed as historical monuments. Some of them will be put into operation for demonstrations.
An exhibition of fabrics as well as a sale of vintage fabrics and items will complete the visit.

La tessitura Larrousse è stata creata nel 1919 da Valérien Larrousse, ex caposquadra in una filatura locale. Questa azienda familiare ha visto diverse generazioni formarsi nel mestiere della tessitura. Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, Joseph Larrousse riprende le redini della scuola.
Le produzioni tessili erano destinate ad una clientela locale, principalmente del Béarn e della Bigorre: biancheria da casa, abbigliamento da lavoro, camici di scolari...
Oggi il luogo conserva una ricca collezione di tessuti realizzati in questo laboratorio, ma anche provenienti da altre fabbriche della pianura di Nay, un tempo soprannominata "la piccola Manchester".
Visite commentate, in francese o in lingua bearnese, permetteranno di scoprire l'officina e le sue macchine, tutte iscritte al titolo di monumenti storici. Alcune di esse saranno messe in funzione per dimostrazioni.
Una mostra di tessuti e una vendita di tessuti e articoli vintage completeranno la visita.

Le tissage Larrousse a été créé en 1919 par Valérien Larrousse, ancien contremaître dans une filature locale. Cette entreprise familiale a vu plusieurs générations se former au métier du tissage. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Joseph Larrousse reprend les rênes de l’établissement.
Les productions textiles étaient destinées à une clientèle locale, principalement du Béarn et de la Bigorre : linge de maison, vêtements de travail, blouses d’écoliers…
Aujourd’hui, le lieu conserve une riche collection de tissus réalisés dans cet atelier, mais aussi provenant d’autres usines de la plaine de Nay, autrefois surnommée « le Petit Manchester ».
Des visites commentées, en français ou en béarnais, permettront de découvrir l’atelier et ses machines, toutes inscrites au titre des Monuments historiques. Certaines d’entre elles seront mises en fonctionnement pour des démonstrations.
Une exposition de tissus ainsi qu’une vente de tissus et d’articles vintage compléteront la visite.

Las producciones textiles estaban destinadas a una clientela local, principalmente de Béarn y de la Bigorre: ropa de casa, ropa de trabajo, batas de escolares...
Hoy en día, el lugar conserva una rica colección de tejidos realizados en este taller, pero también procedentes de otras fábricas de la llanura de Nay, antiguamente apodada "el Pequeño Manchester".
Visitas comentadas, en francés o en castellano, permitirán descubrir el taller y sus máquinas, todas inscritas como Monumentos históricos. Algunas de ellas se pondrán en funcionamiento para demostraciones.
Una exposición de tejidos así como una venta de tejidos y artículos vintage completarán la visita.
