In Anlehnung an die Ausstellung Vu Lilien a Linnen im Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart, die dem Jugendstil in Luxemburg gewidmet ist, führt diese vom Historiker Robert Philippart geleitete Stadtführung zu den architektonischen Juwelen der Belle Époque im Stadtzentrum. Der Jugendstil, der als Reaktion auf neue Baumaterialien (Eisen, Glas und Beton) das Handwerk aufwertet, führte zur Entstehung zweier Schulen: der Industrie- und Handelsschule sowie der staatlichen Handwerkerschule. Die Natur wird zur wichtigsten Inspirationsquelle der Jugendstilästhetik, wobei Gebäude organische Formen und Dekorationen annehmen, die an im städtischen Raum wachsende Pflanzen erinnern.

Echoing the Vu Lilien a Linnen exhibition at the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart, dedicated to Art Nouveau in Luxembourg, this guided walk led by historian Robert Philippart explores the architectural gems of the Belle Époque in the city center. Art Nouveau, which values craftsmanship in reaction to new construction materials (iron, glass, and concrete), led to the emergence of two schools: the School of Industry and Commerce and the State School of Craftsmen. Nature became the main source of inspiration for Art Nouveau aesthetics, with buildings taking on organic forms and decorations reminiscent of plants growing in the urban space.

L'Art nouveau, che valorizza l'artigianato in risposta ai nuovi materiali da costruzione (ferro, vetro e cemento), porta alla nascita di due scuole: la Scuola d'industria e commercio e la Scuola degli artigiani dello Stato. La natura diventa l'ispirazione principale dell'estetica del Art Nouveau. Gli edifici assumono forme e decorazioni organiche e ricordano le piante che crescono nello spazio urbano.

L’Art nouveau, qui valorise l’artisanat en réaction aux nouveaux matériaux de construction (fer, verre et béton), conduit à l’émergence de deux écoles : l’École d’industrie et du commerce et l’École d’Artisans de l’État. La nature devient l'inspiration principale de l'esthétisme de l'Art Nouveau. Les bâtisses prennent des formes et décors organiques et rappellent des plantes poussant dans l'espace urbain.
