Ende der 1930er Jahre, als sich der Krieg näherte, führte die Stadt Bois-Colombes passive Verteidigungsmaßnahmen ein, um die Bevölkerung vor möglichen Bombardierungen zu schützen. Unter dem Platz der Republik wurde um 1938 ein Bunker gegraben. Es misst 97 Meter, hatte 3 Zugänge pro Treppe und konnte 388 Erwachsene oder 485 Kinder aufnehmen.
Es handelt sich um ein wertvolles Zeugnis über das Leben während des Zweiten Weltkriegs und die Bombenangriffe auf die Stadt. In der Tat erlebte Bois-Colombes zwischen 1939 und 1944 mehr als 400 Flugwarnungen und erlitt im September und Dezember 1943 drei Bombenangriffe.

In the late 1930s, as the war approached, the town of Bois-Colombes put in place passive defence measures to protect the population from possible bombing. A shelter was dug under the Republic Square around 1938. It measures 97 meters, had 3 access by stairs and could accommodate 388 adults or 485 children.
It is a valuable testimony to life during the Second World War and to the bombing that hit the city. Indeed, Bois-Colombes experienced more than 400 anti-aircraft alerts between 1939 and 1944 and was bombed 3 times in September and December 1943.

Un riparo è scavato sotto la piazza della Repubblica verso 1938. Misura 97 metri, aveva 3 accessi per scale e poteva ospitare 388 adulti o 485 bambini.
Si tratta di una preziosa testimonianza sulla vita durante la seconda guerra mondiale e sui bombardamenti che hanno colpito la città. In effetti, Bois-Colombes ha conosciuto più di 400 allarmi antiaerei tra il 1939 e il 1944 e ha subito 3 bombardamenti nel settembre e dicembre 1943.

Un refugio fue excavado bajo la Plaza de la República hacia 1938. Mide 97 metros, tiene 3 accesos por escalera y puede acomodar a 388 adultos o 485 niños.
Se trata de un testimonio precioso sobre la vida durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y sobre los bombardeos que afectaron a la ciudad. En efecto, Bois-Colombes conoció más de 400 alertas antiaéreas entre 1939 y 1944 y sufrió tres bombardeos en septiembre y diciembre de 1943.
