To mark the European Heritage Days, the cinema invites you to discover *La Vie en relief*, a 3D documentary directed by Denis Gaubert, which is being released nationwide at this time.
It offers a unique 3D journey into the early life of photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue—a witness to the Belle Époque, World War I, the Roaring Twenties, and the dawn of aviation and the automobile.
Paris, 1903. At the age of nine, Jacques began using his father’s stereoscopic camera, capable of capturing images in 3D. For nearly 25 years, he captured the moments that captivated him in three dimensions, creating a body of work that is intimate, free-spirited, and prolific. Thanks to an exceptional restoration of these stereoscopic images, the documentary now offers audiences a unique, immersive experience, allowing them to rediscover this photographic heritage just as his contemporaries saw it.
To extend this immersion into the history of moving images, the cinema lobby will host a video booth and several interactive displays showcasing optical toys—the precursors to cinema—from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This fun, interactive activity will allow both young and old to explore the origins of cinema before the screening.
