Im Rahmen des zweihundertjährigen Jubiläums der Fotografie ehrt der Tour aux Puces Nicéphore Niepce, der vor fast zweihundert Jahren dank einer Camera obscura das erste fotografische Bild erhielt, das dauerhaft auf einer lichtempfindlichen Oberfläche befestigt war. durch die Aufwertung der ikonographischen Bestände des Stadtarchivs von Thionville.
Die Fotografie wird dort als Zeuge der Lebensphasen in Szene gesetzt.

As part of the bicentenary of photography, the Tour aux Puces pays tribute to Nicéphore Niepce, (who almost two hundred years ago managed to obtain, thanks to a camera obscura, the first photographic image permanently fixed on a photosensitive surface) by promoting the iconographic collections of the Municipal Archives of the City of Thionville.
