An exceptional space, owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, the Pointe au Sel in Saint-Leu is the only site where salt is made in La Réunion. The Salt Museum, managed by the General Council of Reunion, is set up in the old store which used to be used as storage to dry the salt just extracted from the evaporation basins of seawater
