Ocean and Climate Exposition in La Courneuve
This exposition, organized by the IRD aims to promote the role of the ocean in world climate and on climate change.
1 November - 31 December 2015Passed
The climate influences humans, their resources, their development and their health. The ocean plays a key role in the complex mechanisms which manage climate. In storing heat received from the sun in order to transport it from the Tropics to temperate regions, the ocean interacts with the atmosphere contributing to making our planet liveable. In the context of global warming, the study of the relationship between the ocean and the climate has become, now more than ever, a major scientific challenge.
