Go back in time and enter the medieval city that knew the famous Jean de Joinville! Visible from the Quai des Peceaux, this 13th-century tower is the best-preserved remnant of the walled enclosure that surrounded the town of Joinville in the Middle Ages. Located on a private property, it is exceptionally open to visitors.

The round tower of the Quai des Peceaux has been protected as a Historic Monument since 1942\. Now integrated into the private houses on the left bank of the mill’s reach, this tower is the only remnant of the 1.2 km of fortifications that surrounded the town of Joinville.
