Discover the place where the bailiff administered justice in the principality. Will be presented old dungeons and reconstructions, including 100 costumed characters.
The association «Sauvegarde du Patrimoine de Joinville» will guide you along this visit, which begins with the preserved historical parts of the building, passing through the kitchen of the jailer and advancing through the prisons, to arrive at the reconstitution of the «bar».
After this presentation of justice under the Ancien Régime, the visit continues by evoking the history of the city of Joinville and its lords. A journey begins with life-size models and reconstructions, and ends in the attic of the building where a monumental clock sits between majestic chestnut beams.
