Rare example of style Regency, the castle was finished(ended) in 1717 according to the plans of Jean-Baptiste Bouchardon, architect and sculptor. The marshy character of the site led designer to propose set(group) of drop pipes branches of which join to fit tightly round an ilôt adorned with a stony vase.
