About the location

Église Saint-Rémi
18 rue de l'eglise 52700 Liffol-le-Petit
  • Haute-Marne
  • Grand Est
The church of Liffol-le-Petit was the seat of a parish priest at the snack of the Lafauche chapter. The lord of the place received a third of the tithes and the parish priest the rest.
The church of Saint-Rémi was rebuilt in 1769 (date engraved on the lintel of the South portal). The building has an elongated plan. The nave with three four-bay vessels is preceded by a porch tower crowned with a polygonal slate spire. It is accosted at its base, on the south side, by the baptismal font chapel. The three vessels of the nave are covered by a single roof. The choir with two bays ends with a flat bedside table. The sacristy with the shed roof in mechanical tile is attached to the bedside wall.
