A few kilometres from Langres, the Château du Pailly is an exceptional estate combining French and English gardens and a conservatory garden. Come to walk under the avenue of the lime trees or around the fountain. Guided or free visit.

Still partly surrounded with staves(moats), the old(former) feudal castle was transformed into residence of Renaissance by Gaspar de Saulx-Tavannes, between 1563 and 1573\. The green case of the castle includes a picturesque park and a regular garden, itself compound(made up) of a big(great) flowerbed(orchestra) adorned with a circular pond lined by staggered rows of lindens.
