Located in one of the last houses with wooden pieces which remain(subsist) in Lisieux, he(it) presents, according to a chronological route(course), the history(story) of the city of origins in our days and tackles(approaches) the multiplicity of the faces: the Gallo-Roman, medieval and classic city(estate), the textile city(estate), famous faces(figures), Reconstruction... Two themes are also tackled(approached): the bishops de Lisieux and the of Lisieux housing environment. An abundant history(story), illustrated by more than 300 objects, paintings(boards), photographies... But the incontestable major component of the museum cannot be contained in a shop window(showcase) or a room, since it is about the very city! The museum also receives temporary exhibitions(exposures).
