About the location

Village Vacances Sweet Home
62 avenue Charles de Gaulle, 14390 Cabourg

  • Normandie
Large property of car manufacturer Fernand Renault. Built on the dunes before 1913, by the renowned architect Louis Sézille (author of villas in Saint Raphael and La Baule). The ensemble, Maison de Maitre, Logis du Gardien and Remise is in the Norman Revival style influenced by the English achievements of domestic revival. Towards the beach Renault had built a solarium (still existing) and a cricket pitch. In 1948 the Social Agricultural Mutuality of the Eure bought the estate. Today Sweet Home is open to the greatest number with its panoramic restaurant on the sea, its hotel rooms, its lodgings, its swimming pool, its mini-golf, on a park of 8ha.
