Initially planned for the summer period under the title Summer Collections, the exhibition takes its place in autumn, this season of return to which sometimes benefits the favors of an Indian summer.
The exhibition Un été indien mainly brings together recent works compared to older works from the Frac Normandie Caen collection. It also benefits from external loans and the production of a new work. Beyond the exhibition rooms, the works take place in other parts of the building and shape for some the scenography of the exhibition.
An Indian summer offers a journey of works evolving from domestic and familiar, sometimes intimate, to more abstract aesthetic approaches to lead to an open atmosphere of seaside landscapes.
With works by Scoli Acosta, Saâdane Afif, Malala Andrialavidrazana, Bevis Martin & Charlie Youle, Katinka Bock, Patrice Carré, David Michael Clarke, Lynne Cohen, Julien Creuzet, Dewar & Gicquel, Noël Dolla, Philippe Durand, Simon Faithfull, Isabelle Ferreira, Ryan Gander, Piero Gilardi, Akira Ikezoe, Véronique Joumard, Farida le Suavé, Romain Lepage, Gauthier Leroy, Linus Bill + Adrien Horni, Genêt Mayor, Shana Moulton, Gyan Panchal, Zoé de Soumagnat, Stéphane Vigny, Raphaël Zarka.
