Playful, lively, engaging and joyful, Lily van der Stokker’s work takes as its subject the stereotypes linked to femininity, but also the economy of artistic creation and its daily annoyances (domestic tasks, health problems, money problems, etc.). In this exhibition, a set of large murals embellished with painted furniture highlights these universal themes, as well as others that have traditionally been kept away from the «serious» art world like decorative or emotional ties.
