Between Caen and Ouistreham, the castle of Bénouville is located in the middle of a vast wooded park and bordered by the lateral canal to the Orne. It is the work of the visionary architect of the XVIIIth century. Claude-Nicolas Ledoux (1736-1806). Together with the Arc et Senans salt works, it is one of his best preserved works.
