Autumn Antiques Fair
A twice-yearly event
For over 50 years, the famous Brocante des Quinconces has been held twice a year, in spring and autumn, in the historic centre of Bordeaux. This emblematic event in the life of the Gironde region takes place on the Place des Quinconces, the main square in the city centre, so named because of the particular layout of its trees. The ponds in the square are home to symbolic sculptures such as "Fraternité", "Coq Gaulois", "Bonheur" and "Eloquence".
The antiques market brings together over 250 exhibitors, including second-hand dealers, antique dealers, horticulturists, restaurateurs and confectioners. This twice-yearly event attracts bargain-hunters, offering an impressive variety of items. The unique Foire des Quinconces has long transcended the borders of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and France, attracting visitors in search of antique furniture, rare books, crockery, linen, vintage objects, paintings, clocks, silverware, bicycles, enamelled plates, and even traditional regional food products.
A sustainable event
Fully in tune with today's sustainable economy, the Brocante des Quinconces appeals to consumers keen to extend the life of objects beyond their obsolescence, offering a virtuous approach to preserving purchasing power while contributing to sustainability.
