Henrike Stahl at the Grand Parc
From winter to harvest, German photographer Henrike Stahl documented for a year the life of the prestigious Château Palmer, on the legendary Grands Crus of the Médoc. On the spot, she followed about fifty seasonal workers from the working-class district of the Grand Parc in Bordeaux, who came to the vineyard as part of a professional integration program.
More than in a museum or an art gallery, the photographer chose to exhibit the images from this residence in the heart of the Grand Parc, in an outdoor scenography built with the young people of the neighborhood: giant tarpaulins on the facades of buildings, flags floating in the wind at the top of the street lights, colors temporarily returned to homes in bare concrete.
A life-size exhibition that brings together two seemingly distant worlds, and that shakes up preconceived ideas about the professions of the vineyard and the young people of the neighborhoods.
This new exhibition will be freely visible from June 3 to September 22, 2024.
